- Sharing ideas
The Washington County Youth Development Partnership is a positive youth development initiative that partners local agencies, nonprofit organizations and other community stakeholders to collaboratively share resources. The group meets bimonthly – usually at 9 am on the last Thursday of every other month.
Meetings last about 90 minutes, with the last 30 minutes or so spent on announcements and networking. The location of meetings may change from month to month, depending on who is hosting. Interested in hosting a Youth Development meeting at your site? Let Maria or Janis know!
When we surveyed participants on the value of the Positive Youth Development Partnership, they said:
“I appreciate the opportunity to meet people from other organizations and to learn how we can coordinate our efforts.”
“Gives me a chance to hear what others are doing for youth. It gives me a better picture on what is available, and what to work on to bring the community closer.”
“Networking, networking, networking!! Even after 14 yrs. serving youth in this community, I learn something new (new service, new tool, new resource, new location, new contact person, etc.) at EVERY meeting! Thanks for your efforts in bringing us all together!!”
“Other than an extremely serious personal emergency, there is nothing that will prevent me from coming back.”
Please contact Janis or Maria if you are interested in attending.
Come get your exercise on at Turner’s with instructor Chanda Thompson. The $5.00 fee goes toward one hour of instruction and free child care for children 2 and up.
