The Washington County Youth Development Partnership is a positive youth development initiative that partners local agencies, nonprofit organizations and other community stakeholders to collaboratively share resources. The group has been meeting on a bimonthly basis and will start meeting every other month starting March 2014. Meetings are usually at 9 am on the last Thursday of the month. Find upcoming meetings on our Events page by selecting Categories > Youth Development. You can even subscribe to the Youth Development event category to be notified of upcoming meetings.
Meetings last about two hours, with the last 30 minutes or so spent on announcements and networking. The location of meetings may change from month to month, depending on who is hosting.
When we surveyed participants on the value of the Positive Youth Development Partnership, they said:
“I appreciate the opportunity to meet people from other organizations and to learn how we can coordinate our efforts.”
“Gives me a chance to hear what others are doing for youth. It gives me a better picture on what is available, and what to work on to bring the community closer.”
“Networking, networking, networking!! Even after 14 yrs. serving youth in this community, I learn something new (new service, new tool, new resource, new location, new contact person, etc.) at EVERY meeting! Thanks for your efforts in bringing us all together!!”
“Other than an extremely serious personal emergency, there is nothing that will prevent me from coming back.”
